About Ergonomics
Ergonomics is an applied science which designs workplace equipment to an employee for the purpose of optimizing productivity and reducing the potential for muscle, tendon or nerve tissue injury. This is done by studying the relationships between an employee's body, tasks, and surroundings. For NASA Center resources in the area of ergonomics go to the center resources page. For Professional Associations or Professional Certification information related to ergonomics please go to that area of the OH website.
